A remarkable series of sixty-one orchestral symphonies published in London by Robert Bremner between 1763 and 1783 — a symphony-of-the-month publication capturing the musical tastes of London during the era’s Rage for Music. Editions edited by Barnaby Priest and Alyson McLamore are published in the Repertoire Explorer Series by Musikproduktion Höflich. Each entry includes an embedded audio-visual rendition and a link to purchase the score and parts.
Bremner grouped his overtures into ten sets of six. Collectors who completed a set were invited to write to him for a printed cover page — examples of which are shown below alongside each opus.

The sixty-first and final overture was not published by Bremner but by Preston, who acquired the plates from Bremner’s widow and added one last work to close the series. It will appear here in due course — a small epilogue to a remarkable twenty-year publishing adventure.
